Benbro Electronics has over 20 years of experience in the design and manufacture of solar charge regulators, and their associated control and distribution equipment. The product range extends over 50 models and variants; from small, single stage regulators to complete modular systems capable of handling 800 Amps.

Benbro has enjoyed long term strategic partnerships with various solar OEMs and we produce industrial and commercial regulators that are distributed worldwide. Many of our existing products were developed in conjunction with BP Solar.

Benbro has its own range of solar products and the capability to custom badge or develop custom products to suit any project.

 

Single Stage 20A Solar Charge Regulator 

The BES12RA-20 Solar Regulator is a fully automatic microcontroller based product that utilises a solid state array switching element with very low on-losses.

It provides a temperature compensated multi mode charge regime, and is complete with low voltage load disconnect capability and alarm output contacts.

The display LEDs provide visual indication of the system status including system voltage, charge mode and alarm status.

The regulator is housed in a compact IP65 plastic enclosure and is suitable for cable of up to 6mm.

2 Stage 40A Solar Charge Regulator

The Benbro BEFBR2/40 is a 2 array stage solar charge regulator which is suitable for 12V, 24V and 48V systems.

It provides a temperature compensated multi mode charge regime, and is complete with vow voltage load disconnect capability and alarm output contacts.

The display provides visual indication of the system status including system voltage, current, temperature, AH logging and alarm status.

The regulator is housed in a compact IP54 plastic enclosure. It is suitable for cable of up to 16mm².

The system Voltage is user configurable and suitable for positive or negative earth systems.

2 - 4 Stage 40A - 80A Solar Charge Regulator

The Benbro BER2/4NG is a 2 - 4 array stage solar charge regulator which is suitable for 12V, 24V and 48V systems.

It provides a temperature compensated multi mode charge regime and is complete with low voltage load disconnect capability and alarm output contacts.

The display provides visual indication of the system status including system Voltage, current, temperature, AH logging and alarm status.

The regulator is housed in a compact IP54 plastic enclosure and is suitable for cable of up to 16mm².

The system Voltage is user configurable and suitable for positive or negative earth systems.

6 Stage 120A Solar Charge Regulator

The Benbro PVLink PCU is a 6 array stage commercial solar charge regulator which is suitable for 12V, 24V and 48V systems.

The PCU is a stand alone regulator in its own right, or it can form part of an extensive hybrid system. This system includes a monitor/interrogation/comms unit, capable of controlling up to 6 PCUs and interfaces with other modules including; load distribution units, Genset control units and 3 phase ac interface units.

The regulator is housed in a rugged 19” 2RU rack mounting enclosure. All connections to the unit are pluggable for ease of installation and maintenance. The array inputs to the unit are fitted with circuit breakers.

The unit itself is fitted with a 70 amp load circuit breaker. The system voltage is user configurable and suitable for positive or negative earth systems.

8/16 Stage 200A/400A Modular Solar Charge Regulator with Comms

The Benbro PVLink PnP is an 8 x 25 Amp array stage commercial solar charge regulator which is suitable for 48V hybrid systems. It can also control an additional 8 x 25 Amp slave and can support Ethernet Connectivity

The PVLink PnP RMD-200 consists of

  • The RMD-200 Sub Rack (incl. PSU Card & I/O Card)
  • ASR-25 Array Stage Regulators (up to 8)
  • ASR Controller
  • Communications and Logging option

The RMD-200 sub-rack is a 19” rack mountable chassis of which the top 3RU contains the ASR Controller, the power supply, Data logging card slots and ASR-25 array stage regulators. The lower 6RU (RMD-200) provides cable termination points for power via buss bars, terminals and load circuit breakers. The I/O board, as well as optional communications card are also housed in the lower unit.

Under normal operation, the ASR-25 regulators will be slave-switched by the ASR Controller in sequence to regulate charge through the solar array stages into the battery bank(s).

The RMD-200 utilises battery voltage sensing to control the charge regime, as recommended by battery manufacturer for float, boost and equalisation charging. Battery voltage is measured using a dedicated battery sense cable pair.
